JUDO systems for building technology:

JUDO Filtration (supply water): JUDO flushable protective return filters have proven themselves in hundreds of thousands of applications, and offer a unique combination of sophisticated technology and appealing design. The JUDO PROFi flushable protective return filter protects valuable installations against solid, fine-particle impurities with its point-rotation system and built-in bacterial protection. With its durable design and versatile application possibilities, the JUDO JRSF flushable protective return filter is another classic that has proven itself over the course of time. Available in nominal sizes from ¾" to DN 200, with both manual or automatic return flushing actuated by time or differential pressure, and without interruption to the water supply.

JUDO System separators: JUDO pipe separators reliably protect drinking water systems against contamination following accidents or other problems in accordance with DIN 1988.

JUDO Water-softening: JUDO softening systems work on the principle of ion exchange, removing hardness constituents such as calcium and magnesium from the water to ensure soft water. Monospheric, high-performance ion-exchanger resins in high-quality, fibreglass-reinforced pressure vessels guarantee durable and reliable system technology. Efficient regeneration techniques also ensure the ecological and economic use of the resins, fulfilling both the comfort needs of private households as well as the most demanding technical requirements. Thanks to their modular design, various consumption volumes are possible without any problem, from a few hundred litres per day up to 100 m³ per hour. Our parallel and triplex softening systems have been specially developed for areas of building technology with high peak performances at relatively low consumption volumes, offering an elegant solution to this technical contradiction with their low space requirements and efficient, cost-effective operation. Other typical consumers, e.g. for decentralised use, include heating and steam generation systems, air-scrubbers, humidifier systems and cooling towers, large kitchens and laboratories. The operating and regeneration procedures of such softening systems are co-ordinated by sophisticated control valves. Whether single, double or parallel and triplex softening systems, the microprocessor controls ensure optimum adaptability to the consumer requirements. Accessories: comprehensive accessories such as disinfection devices, mixer valves and residual hardness monitoring devices round off the range.

JUDO Dosing: JUDO WADOS and UNIDOS dosing pump systems can be used both for drinking water treatment in sanitary areas (hardness stabilisation or corrosion protection), as well as for conditioning within a wide range of works. All common dosing agents, from the JUL mineral solution to cooling tower biocide, can be added with reliability and safety with JUDO dosing pump systems. JUDO UNIDOS-T and WADOS-T dosing pump systems allow the supply of liquid products directly from the transport container. The systems can be controlled either by a contact water meter, externally via the power supply or manually. Accessories: Dosing containers of various sizes, cold or hot water injection points, manual or electric agitators, catchment baths, time switches etc.

JUDO Circuit filtration: Proven in hundreds of thousands of applications, the JUDO JRSF flushable protective return filter is available in sizes from 1" to DN 200, with both manual or automatic return flushing actuated by time or differential pressure, and without interruption to the water supply, for different application areas. These filters are used in building technology mainly for the filtration of circulating systems. The water is normally filtered continually as a partial flow of 30 % and with a mesh size of 0.32 mm, amongst other applications in the area of cooling circuits, and the hot water version up to 85 °C in warm water systems.

JUDO Fixed bed filtration: No chance for algae, clouding materials or deposits. As has been shown in practice, and to maintain the acceptable visual appearance in circulating systems such as water features and decorative pools in building technology, suitable water treatment measures must be applied to ensure that no impurities or concentrations of foreign materials impair the water quality. Based on the proven JUDO swimming pool technology, all the necessary processes are applied for the cleaning, disinfection and monitoring of the water quality. Multi-layer filters and dosing systems, together with the matching system accessories, round off the range of products for comprehensive water treatment.

JUDO Dosing agents - Conditioning: JUDO conditioning chemicals are required in order to adjust the chemical properties of the water in accordance with the usage guidelines. Optimally matched active components provide disinfection, alkalisation, residual hardness stabilisation and corrosion protection in water systems. Available either in liquid form in transport container or powder form, depending on the product.

JUDO JUL-Mineral solutions: The DVGW-approved mineral solution is supplied completely sterile in sealed, disposable containers, which simultaneously serve as the dosing containers. JUL Type W and Type H mineral tablets contain the dosing ingredients in concentrated tablet form. This means: 96 % less plastic, 80 % less packaging material, and no expiry date.

JUDO Analysis: The many and versatile JUDO analysis devices enable the checking and documentation of the correct operation of the water treatment system and other connected systems by means of simple, yet accurate measurement procedures. JUDO analysis devices are available singly, in ready-packed cases or as fully equipped cabinets.

JUDO Contipure water purification systems: The JUDO Contipure water purification system meets the very highest demands for desalinated water, without the use of regeneration agents. This new generation of water treatment technology is the result of decades of consistent development work. High-performance electrical desalination cells produce extremely pure levels of water quality from the permeate of the reverse osmosis system. A sophisticated arrangement of chambers, alternately packed with cation and anion-exchanger resin, separating walls of ion-selective membranes and the electrodes of a DC voltage source continually produce fully desalinated water with low bacterial levels with minimum energy consumption, with a guaranteed residual conductivity of below 1µS/cm.

JUDO Kliwamat: Water with low bacterial levels in the air-scrubber for hygienically pure room air. The JUDO Kliwamat-Kompakt system contains a complete circulating water treatment system for air-scrubbers in a frame mounting, consisting of a circulating pump, UV disinfection system with UV monitoring device, conductivity-controlled automatic desalination and optionally a JUDO flushable protective return filter with return flushing actuated by differential pressure. Thanks to its compact, ready-to-connect internal piping, the Kliwamat is particularly suitable for retro-fitting. Application area: Air-scrubbers with a system capacity up to 1,200 litres.

JUDO Boiler water treatment: Boiler water treatment from JUDO offers the guarantee of operating reliability, long working life and economy. Untreated drinking water is only partly suitable for use as boiler supply water. The different operating conditions in boiler systems present their own particular problems, with the distinction being made between closed warm and hot water systems and steam generators. Through the selection of the optimum processes, and based on standards and guidelines such as VDI 2035 and the specifications of the VdTÜV and TRD, JUDO produces complete, equipment combinations, ready for operation, for the treatment of the water.

JUDO Prevention of Legionnaires’ Disease: JLS-Duo and the JWT-HC dosing pump systems protect the warm water system reliably against Legionnaires’ Disease. JLS-Duo is a versatile 2-component system working on the basis of chlorine dioxide, designed for disinfection according to the requirements of drinking water regulations and EN. This offers a stronger and faster-acting disinfection action than conventional chlorine products. No dangerous decomposition products are created. Odour and taste materials are also broken down. JLS-Duo also removes biological films in pipes and containers. JWT-HC dosing pump systems are equipped with an innovative dosing system with a self-ventilating double dosing head. JLS-Duo is supplied direct from the transport container. The system is controlled in proportion to the volume by means of a contact water meter installed in the supply line of the warm water heater. The injection point is fitted at the outlet from the warm water heater.

JUDO Alternative limescale protection: The JUDO BiOSTAT 2000 is the only maintenance-free limescale protection system approved by the DVGW without additives and follow-on costs, except for electricity costs of about 7 Euro per year. Its method of operation differs fundamentally from conventional techniques used to combat the formation of limescale. Thanks to a new process developed by JUDO, the tendency of the water to deposit limescale is reduced. The BiOSTAT 2000 releases small seed crystals, to which excess limescale in the water becomes naturally bonded. The limescale therefore remains "in suspension" and does not settle. Pipes and surfaces therefore remain permanently free of harmful limescale deposits, prolonging the working life of water system components. Available in nominal sizes of ¾", 1" and 1½".

JUDO UV disinfection: No entry for germs! Hygiene is becoming an increasingly important consideration in the design of building equipment. JUDO UV disinfection systems (JUV) provide reliable disinfection for clear dinking water and service water. The disinfectant effect of UV-C radiation at a wavelength of 254 nm and a radiation dose of 400 J/m² (DVGW recommendation) is used to kill off all micro-organisms within a matter of seconds. The integral UV monitoring device (with the JUV-TW) ensures that this minimum radiation dose is delivered. The prevention of growth-promoting limescale deposits and regular cleaning and flushing of complex pipe systems, together with UV disinfection, give a guarantee of perfect hygiene. Available with capacities from 1.5 – 50 m³/h.

JUDO Reverse osmosis: JUDO reverse osmosis systems with modern, energy-saving low-pressure membranes are compact units ready for connection, which are used for the continual, environmentally friendly production of desalinated water. A well-known principle found in nature, "natural osmosis", is reversed in this process, in order to separate out the salts and other materials dissolved in the water by means of corresponding pressure and semi-permeable membranes. The water quality that can be achieved in this way now allows conventional desalination systems using acid and caustic soda on the ion-exchanger principle to be largely dispensed with. JUDO reverse osmosis systems with stepped permeation can also achieve residual conductivities of below 10 to 5 µS/cm. JUDO reverse osmosis systems are in successful use in steam boilers, cooling and air-conditioning technology, glass-dishwashing machines, laboratories and for process water – in short, everywhere where special demands are placed on the water quality, improving the efficiency of existing systems. Computer-assisted design by our experts ensures the optimum co-ordination of pump pressure, membrane area, residual conductivity and system yield. From the series product to the tailor-made customer solution, JUDO reverse osmosis systems can supply desalinated water from a few litres per hour up to several thousand cubic metres per day. Accessories: Storage containers, rust-free pressure-raising systems, UV disinfection systems, sterile filters and Co2-traps complete the product range.
