Usually, intermittent desalination is generally not being operated in relation to the operation of the system. At low evaporation levels, too much water is desalinated. The quantity of water resupplied (added water) thereby represents a measure of the amount of heat given off to the air. With the JUDO automatic desalination system, the quantity of water to be desalinated can be brought into a fixed ratio with the quantity of water resupplied to the system. The aim is to use a minimum of added water at a specified increase in concentration of the circulating water. The saving of added water is therefore at its greatest under greatly fluctuating evaporation conditions.
